The Bolsena Lake, with its 115 km² of largeness, is the biggest volcanic lake in Italy. It is surrounded by the Vulsini mountains, the lake has a pictureque aspect, sometimes impressive. The history of the lake and of the people who had lived in the course of history had a great archaeological, historical and legendary fascinating patrimony. At the view of the lake it’s easy to lose the perimeter which is 43 km long. Its depth reach 151 meters, and it leave us deduce a great quantity of soft water. In this lake you can find two volcanic islands, Martana and Bisentina, that rise at a few Km from the coast. The Resort can organize visits to the wonderful Bisentina island for the guests.
